What is Work
In your opinion, what does work mean?
Is it a means of earning money? Is it a means of supporting a family? Is it a method of integrating oneself with society together? Is it an ideal? Is it money? Is it independence? Is it a method of realizing one’s life aim? Is it a means of living a substantial and happy life? And so on. Perhaps, different people give different answers. I think it is quite difficult.
Then, what is work actually? Alleged work means you need support your life and be good for your development and make a contribution to the society. Work can realize one’s life value. No matter which kind of work, it also makes a contribution to the society. According to the different extent of integrating one’s life aim with contribution to society together, result different effects for realizing social value. Because of this reason, please attach great importance to your work. Some people worried about finding no job, so it is a pleasure for finding a job.
What is work exactly?
Work means advances material value by your labour, provides the necessary services to the society. It is also your contribution to the society, thereby advances your life value. Work becomes no use, no meaning, when you don’t achieve the aim of advancing material value or you don’t provide the satisfactory service. For example, in company, your work is to create benefit to your company, at least, let your company feel you can create benefit probably. If your work neither create benefit nor probably, the company will not continue to engage you. That is just why you are dismissed. It is said that some companies would demand the people create the benefit that is three times as much as their wages.
The opinion of work and on work, it forms your working attitude, and it also becomes a standard for evaluating yourself.
